women in distress Women In Distress of Broward County, Inc. (WID) is the only nationally accredited, state-certified, full service domestic violence center serving Broward County. Our mission is to provide victims of domestic violence with safe shelter, crisis intervention and resources, and to educate the community in order to Stop Abuse For Everyone (SAFE) through Intervention, Education and Advocacy.
 
 
The Matthew Shepard Foundation is dedicated to erasing hate through education, advocacy and awareness. We are the voice for inclusive hate crimes legislation and work to empower and ensure the safety of LGBTQ and Allied youth. The Foundation was founded by Dennis and Judy Shepard in memory of their 21-year-old son, Matthew, who was murdered in an anti-gay hate crime in Wyoming in October 1998.
 
 
PL Productions has worked with non-profit organizations since 1988.  After relocating to Florida in 2002, PLP has been providing Public Broadcasting radio and television stations with new media and "audio artist" production services.   Currently, the PLP website is featuring the South Florida Theatre Community and connecting with other non-profit organizations including No More Tears.
 
 
Dollar-A-Day Dollar-A-Day Scholarship Fund Encourages Muslim students to pursue higher education and offset the cost of that higher education by providing scholarships. Promotes global citizenship and defray the cost of pursuing internship opportunities with international inter-governmental, governmental, or non-governmental policy based organizations or organizations based in majority-Muslim countries.

Through television and the web, Link TV encourages citizens to delve deeply into global issues and find ways to take action.
